Energy Conservation and Energy Conservation Videos

These are short videos (@2-6 minutes each) talking about the impact of energy use on our world.  Each video takes a different approach at getting their message across, which means kids will react differently to each one.  It might be a fun activity to have the kids watch the movies, then comment on the message in each and how it applies to them.  The movies could be watched online (hyperlinks), downloaded and distributed, or embedded into something like a blog or moodle so kids could watch and comment on the movies online.

Blue Man Group on Global Warming (like most Blue Man projects, this focuses on music, art, and performance to get their point across)

Snapshot of Energy Use (just as the name says, this breaks down basic energy consumption in the US.  Not as entertaining as the Blue Man or Oil Peak movies, but pretty eye opening.)

There is No Energy Crisis, There is a Crisis of Ignorance (a factual movie, more in the tone of your standard documentary, covering the energy crisis and renewable energy.  A lot more dry than the other movies, but there are lots broad, basic information listed;  it is basic an advertisement for a non-profit)

Oil Peak - How Will You Ride the Slide?  (a good cartoon illustrating the historic relationship between consumerism and energy resources)

The End of Suburbia - 52 minute documentary on oil

Pretty long (@52 minutes), which would likely put the kids to sleep;  however, there may be pieces that you find useful that I could pull out.
